Away Message is not a phase, mom. We’re the angst-fueled 2000s emo, punk, and alt-rock cover band you’ve been dreaming about while you try to squeeze into your skinny jeans. Formed in the Philly area in 2024, we rock like it’s 2004. Remember those days? American Idiot just came out, side swept bangs were everywhere, and you were busy sorting out your Top 8 on Myspace.

Joe Simek | Vocals: The band’s elder emo. Saw Jimmy Eat World play in a bowling alley and was never the same. Sings with more passion than the last season of The O.C. “Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.”

Ryan Farmer | Guitar: Provides all the riffage of Guitar Hero II set to expert with his amp cranked to eleven. He’s got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby! (Really he does.) “Propane and propane accessories.”

Tony Rombola (No, Not That One) | Bass: An encyclopedia of bands you’ve never heard of. Handles RHCP basslines and AFI screams with ease. Bring back chain wallets. “It’s not called screamo…it’s harsh vocals.”

Aileen Farmer | Drums: Rocked smudged eyeliner and a marching band uniform before My Chem made it cool. Hits harder than the most emo Xanga entry you ever wrote. Name That Tune grandmaster. “Gaga oooh-la-la.”
